On 06/05/14, a talk organized by the national distributor ITPSA URUGUAY took place in Salto (Uruguay), in collaboration with the Cooperative de Calsal, which ceded its assembly hall, and was attended by a large number of farmers and cooperative members.
Juan Alcazar, ruminant technician from INZAR, spoke about “The intensive system of fattening based on concentrates”. After the talk, Juan Alcazar and Octavio Catalán, technical director of the area of ruminants of INZAR, discussed with the assistants about the advantages and disadvantages of intensive systems in relation to the most typical extensive systems of the country where we were. Finished the exchange of impressions, the CooperativE de Calsal presented the attendees with a roast of lamb primed in the traditional production systems.
